The Withes by Roald Dahl

This  amazing book written by Roald Dahl tells the story of a boy and his grandma who know how to recognise witches. Witches , as we all know, are cruel creatures who cast spell on others with their super-magical powers. In this book, witches are also seen in the same manner but in a different way. These witches hate children and appear to be beautiful ladies in disguise, to hide their ugly reality. The Grand High Witch is the head of the all and....the ugliest. When by chance the boy gets trapped in the yearly meeting of the witches, he sees their real form. How will the boy save all the children of the country from being turned into frogs and mice by these bald-headed creatures???
Read this funny and ultimately humorous book to find out!!!

NO TOYS IN THE FISH TANK.

A lovely book which teaches us that each person is special. It's about twelve-year old Catherine who just wants a normal life. But it's near impossible as her family revolves around her younger brother David who suffers from autism.
She's spent years teaching David that 'a peach is not a funny looking apple', 'keep your pants on in public' and 'no toys in fish tank'.
The story is based on relationship between Catherine and David - and how it gets effected by her friendship with Jason and Kristie. Jason cannot speak and walk. Kristie is a new neighbour who is friends with the boy who teases David.

The City Of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau

An underground city was built to save the human race.

It was to last 200 years.........

Now, that time is up.........

It's an awesome book which is written with deep talent and creates lots of excitement. Ember is an underground city build in the future to continue the human race.

And after 200 years, things change.
The food is low.Corruption is spreading.
And worst of all,the lights are flickering. Now it's all up to Lisa and Dean to save the city
Else the lights will be gone....FOREVER......

Seriously, this book is one of MY FAVOURITES as it has all a dedicated reader would  want. It is like a puzzle, which you would want to be solved ASAP or ... you would go mad biting your nails. Plus, it also has a map which you can look up to see the path the characters take on their adventure. I think this book is definately worth a read and its time.
