A Ressurrection of Magic : Book One - Skin Hunger by Kathleen Duey

This book consists of two working parts which make up the complete story. The first part consists a young girl named Sadima whose mother dies while giving birth to her. One day, she meets a nobleman named Franklin. Fed up with her life, she decides to go and live with him in the city. The second part tells us about the son of a rich merchant, Hahp, who is forced into an academy and paired with Gerrard, a peasant's son centuries later. The academy promotes only one student of the ten, and the goal is to survive. The two parts join as the academy's professor turns out be Franklin, who is some how grief struck because of his past.

I think this is a perfect fiction book as it is full of activity and is very interesting. The concept of the novel is superb + these type of books are written very less. Continue the story by reading the other parts of this series. It is perfect for 12+ kids and young readers.

The School Story by Andrew Clements

This novel is about two sixth graders, Natalie and her best friend Zoe, who decide to publish a book written by Natalie. But, Natalie 's mother is an editor at a big publisher company...and she does not want to ask for any favors. The story proceeds as the pals decide to publish the book under a pen name, with help of their English teacher and also taking the illegal path. I think the book didn't appeal to me much but can be good for a third grader as it is low on colorful words and may not impress an eleven-year old like me.

The Missing: Book 1-FOUND by Margaret Peterson Haddix

Angela had no idea what she had seen, but she knew she saw it.
A disappearing aeroplane...no way, that's what her boss said.

Now, 13 years later Johan is an adopted boy who has Chip as a new neighbour. Chip starts receiving strange letters, one which said "they are coming back to GET YOU".

Johan and his sister, Katherine, help Chip and get down to this mystery...and the results are unbelievable.

This is a book written with an out-of-the-box imagination. Great ideas put together form this terrific story which also involves the FBI, a vast smuggling operation and a disappear jet.

This is undoubtedly the best page-turner ever written and I absolutely loved it!!!
