Siblings Sadie and Carter lost their Mother at a young age, and after a serious court fight and The Spatula War, Sadie lives with her maternal grandparents in London while Carter travels the world with his Egyptologist father Dr. Julius Kane. And thus, due to this long separation, the two have been mere strangers.... Until the visit to the museum which results in a blast and destruction of an important Egyptian artifact, and the strange episode that follows. Their father disappears and now its up to them to save the world from destruction. They go on an find about their Royal ancestors, the Demon Days, their mother and their goal is to defeat the evil god Set before the end to save their father...
Fabulous! The next series of books by Rick Riordan is evolving around Egyptian mythology, clearly telling us he is the master of mytho-fiction. In the first book of the series, he slowly builds up the story. Apparently, it is the recording (I don't know anything about it yet) which he has written. Cleverly depicted scenes, interesting details of the gods and Egyptian history and the care and love between two separated brother and sister (awwwww!), makes it a really good book worth reading. :) Enjoy!

Have A Spacesuit - Will Travel by Robert A. Heinlein
First prize in the Skyway slogan contest is an all-expense-paid trip to the Moon. Anddd... He missed by *that* much. But Kip Russell, a high school senior, did manage to win the consolation prize of a spacesuit. He decided that one day he shall go to the Moon. He fully geared the suit with all the devices required, and called him Oscar. But the dream day comes way sooner than he thought, as he is "kidnapped" by an alien space-craft, boarded by an eccentric little girl nick-named PeeWee, her rag doll and a wobbly creature called the Mother Thing. And of course, Oscar.
The author, Robert A. Heinlein, is a well known, award-winning Sci-Fi author. But the book is AWE-FULLY boring. It was immensely boring, and had I dragged myself to the end. But, if you think that's 'cuz I'm a kid, consult my mom. Her situation was worse. :P

The Twenty-One Balloons by William Pène du Bois
After years of teaching Maths to students at school, all that Professor William wanted was to kick back and relax. So he built an hot air-balloon, with all the things that any humble human would have needed for survival. But take it as a twist of fate, instead he crash-lands on an island Krakatoa just within a few days of travel. And this island isn't a normal one either, with enormous amounts of wealth, strange but fascinating people (inhabitants) and out-of-the-box inventions all over. With all the secrets revealed, he is cursed to re,main on the island FoReVeR. (Good or bad?) ....
....... Unless he finds a way to escape.
A simply amazing book, full of twists, turns, and of course balloons. This is a one of a kind book, which you won't be able to put down till completed. In short, I was left awe-struck by the author's creation and imagination. A book for all ages.
